I originally promised you New England scenery, didn't I?

So today's in-between-food-posts post will be about a small part of New Hampshire's seacoast. I don't even know what this beach is called, or if it even has a name. It's a tiny little cove that my son started calling Clam Beach when he was three, and the name stuck.
It's a little harbor where small boats are docked, and some larger fishing boats head out of the area, as well. It's divided into two sections--one for the boats and one that is just water. We like it because it's easy to see the kids at all times--it doesn't get busy, and the kids can play in the water and find little crabs and snails for their buckets.

See the rocks in the first photo? Everything to the left of those is boats and open sea.
Everything to the right of these rocks is the little beach and cove...
That's a restaurant in the distance.

New England is gorgeous - and you just reminded me of that (not that I ever forgot, but it's nice to be reminded through personal photographs).
What a gorgeous place! I'm always jealous of people who live by the ocean. Utah is extremely beautiful, but there is just something about the ocean that gets me every time...

Hi Elle, New England states are beautiful! We are in the adirondack/st. lawrence seaway area and that has a beauty of its own too! Grumpy and I were supposed to go to Maine next week after my son's wedding, but plans had to change unfortunately. HOWEVER we can't wait to get to travel the New England states and see the Atlantic Coast and eat LOBSTER! LOL

Simply beautiful, Elle! I have never been farther East then Colorado, so it's great to see pictures! I am laughing at Shaye's comment becasue if I took picures around here, it would be a sea of houses! LOL, gotta love the suburbs!

Elle, you so captured New England in these pics! In the dead of winter, I wish I was anywhere else, but spring, summer and fall, you can't beat being in New England!
that's just so darn pretty! i'm used to mountains, and mountains, and more mountains. not that i'm complaining, mind you, but i wouldn't mind seeing a bit more water from time to time. :)
Love New England -- Boston, Cape Cod...but never have been to NH. I know I'd love it! I've always wanted to visit in the fall. Great photos...thanks for giving us a peek!

thanks for sharing your paradise! reminds me of Boothbay ~ went to a wedding there years back. Had the best crab cakes EVER at this wedding and none has compared ever since. Enjoy your summer!
Even though I am near the ocean there is something magical about the East Coast. What beautiful pictures - The East coast has such charm and character. My favorite place was Mystic Conn. Thanks for sharing these

i loves me some pictures of the new hampshire coast!
we lived in concord, nh and near newburyport, ma for a couple of years and i LOVED it! i used to go to plum island for my daily walks.
there's something so different about new england beaches from out here on the west coast.
these pic's are just as yummy as that freakin' amazing danish you crazy people made up there on the next post :-)

Thank you, everyone! I wish we lived right there, but we're about 30 minutes from the coast. That doesn't stop us from going there. A lot, hehe.
