I was recently given a Neat Receipts Scanner to test out. I’ve got to say, I’m thoroughly impressed with it! I also have one to give away, so be sure to read through to the end of the post.
If you guys are anything like me, you’ve got stacks upon stacks of food and decorating magazines all over your home. You’re with me on this, yes? Good! I know--you have all of the best intentions to make all of those recipes on all of those dog-eared pages, and yeah (!) you’re totally going to repaint your kitchen that way and decorate your bathroom just like they did in that article and…and…man, that’s a big pile of “someday.”

I say “So you got rid of a stack of magazines, but still have 10 three ring binders hanging around.” How often do you go through those clippings and actually use them? What if you could clip your “to make soon” recipes and “decorating idea articles” (or whatever kind of article, for that matter) and put them on your computer, getting rid of those stacks of well read magazines at the same time? I like the fact that it's easily portable. If you use a laptop having a portable scanner just makes sense.

I have those 3 ring binders!! I would love to have the scanner, would be able to get rid of the binder, and would be able to email the good recipes to family members!

i think i'm in love...i really need to organize our stuff mainly to keep things in our house organized...bills, receipts, etc. i can't even imagine how much room i'd finally have if i had this bad boy!
I have so many little piles of paper in my room its ridiculous! I used to be an organized, on-top-of-it kind of person. . . and then I had a child!
This could help me regain some of my former glory! LOL

I saw this on tv a while back and thought it would be a fantastic thing to have. I have tons of recipes that I could use this for. I'd love to win one to get all my random recipes organized.
OH and I really love that you can use it not just for receipts or recipes but also looks like you can scan documents as well. Many, many things I would love to digitize in my life and get rid of clutter.
Yea this rocks! I have wanted one for years. Mostly to get rid of the pile of papers i have stacked up. There is no reason for all this paper! Also, yeaaa 200000 recipes that are in desperate need to scanning... sigh.

Every time the commercial comes on I tell my husband, "we need one of those". I have a huge stack of recipes that are awaiting scanning and would love to be able to get them into searchable electronic versions!

I have a huge recipe binder, it's threatening to attack the kitchen. My husband frowns upon my stack after stack of recipes. I need something to control the madness. I've been eyeing this little device for a few months. I think it would bring a whole lot of harmony to my home. :-) I'll tweet this out as well so others can get in on the action!
I not only like the portability of this item I'm thinking long term: going thru all those shoe boxes and cleaning up the "files" that have been accumulating. And, I'll have all this necessary info at my fingertips, literally! This could revolutionize my life, organizationally speaking!

Oh my--I need this! I just went through 10 years of cooking magazines and have stacks of torn out recipes and no way to organize them! I really like the text recognition feature that turns the text into a format you can search and edit.

OMG where has this been all my life! This would be awesome and exactly what I need! I am an organize freak and the one thing I have is recipes and articles in 3 ring binders. The aspect of using the Neat Receipts that is most appealing to me would be having all my magazine recipes in one place, rather than some in a binder, some in the magazines still, others in random clippings everywhere. What a great idea!
I have that same pile (or should I say "PILES") & half the time never end up using recipes I know I saved but have no clue where the pile is they are in - definately could use this.... my husband would like it for the receipts and medical expenses....Thanks Elle.... nice to know this works well.

I would love to have something like this, not only for myself, but for my BF! He is drowning in paperwork that he doesn't want to give up, and as an IT geek this would be the perfect solution for him. I've been using Evernote to organize recipes and decor clippings I find on the internet; this tool would be a perfect compliment to that practice. I love that it's so compact and easy to use.
